Setup

  • Create a chalk line on a sloped part of a green
  • Take 2 tees and make a gate for the ball (make the gate 1 grip length from the position of the ball)
  • Make sure that the gate is approximately 50mm wide (a little bit wider than a ball, if you want to make it more difficult or easier adjust the width of the gate)
  • Hit the ball through the gate from the side so the ball breaks from right to left
  • Put a tee 1m from the ball slightly to the side of a line so when you hit a ball through the gate, ball will finish near the tee

Goal

  • Start from a 1m distance and hit 10 balls in a row without hitting any of the tees
  • Ball has to finish within 1ft from the tee
  • Once completed the drill, repeat the process from 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 meters.
  • You get 3 attempts at each distance if you fail to complete any stage 3 times in a row you move back to a shorter distance
Note: If you do not finish all 6 stages in one practice session, you can start on the last distance you finished and continue from there.
